Solution 1:
Install compatible ink cartridges - for different models of hp printer, there are different types of ink cartridges. If you use incompatible cartridges, then there are more chances of coming across such type of errors. Make sure you use the compatible cartridges made for that particular model and install them correctly. In case you do not know which cartridges are compatible with your printer model, you may seek guidance from HP Support.
Solution 2:
Fix problem with newly installed cartridges - If you have recently installed cartridges in your printer, then the printer might not be able to read it. Hence, follow the guidelines in the instruction manual to install the cartridges correctly. For this, you may remove and reinstall it. Make sure the cartridges are full of ink. Once you install the cartridges successfully, you need to restart your printer and let it stay idle for a couple of minutes.
Solution 3: resolve issues related to low ink levels
In case your ink cartridges are empty or at a very low level of ink, you are sure to receive this error. If you come across a system ink failure error message, then you should try replacing the older cartridges with the new ones.
Solution 4: clean the dried or clogged cartridge vent
Another obvious reason why you are facing this error is because of the dried or clogged vent of the ink cartridges. If this is the case, then you need to take a lint-free cloth and wipe the cartridge with the help of this cloth. Without touching any wiring part, you have to clean the vent carefully. After this reinstall the cartridges back at its place.
Solution 5: Reset your printer
· With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
· While the printer is turned on, unplug its power cord from its source.
· Now, wait for up to 60 seconds.
· After that, reconnect the power cord to the outlet.
· Reconnect it to the printer as well.
· When it turns on, try taking a printout again.
